Our Master Plan

Our master plan is based on 3 intelligent greenhouses and 2 vertical farms. It is worth noting that in our vertical farms, we will be growing a number of vegetables and fruits. Some of them include eatable flowers, microgreens, herbs, and lettuce among others. In addition to it, we will also be growing sweet bell peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Each of our vertical farms will possess and have a square footprint of around 54 by 36 meters in terms of external dimensions. Meanwhile, when it comes to the three greenhouses, they will have external dimensions of around 132 by 40 meters. Each vertical farm involves 4 cultivation rooms and the two vertical farm buildings have four cultivation rooms each. It means that the combined area of cultivation is around 2,440 square metres.

In addition to it, the total growing area that results from the use of six layers is around 8,260 square meters.

As a part of our master plan, we have developed a hybrid CEA or controlled environment agriculture facility. Two methods will be combined for the growth and cultivation of crops including greenhouse farming and indoor vertical farming. Since the cultivation of CEA does not really rely on external conditions, it can be developed and created almost anywhere. In fact, even when the external environment is not adequate for the growth of crops and plants, indoor vertical farming can be considered and used. It will still help in making sure that the required yield is produced.

The acquired site is located near the University of Curacao in an urban neighborhood. Moreover, it borders a number of communities including Juan Domingo, Desavaan, and Juan Hato. The distance between the site and Hato International is around 5 kilometers.

An important thing to note about the facility is that it can be grown in the future for increasing the rate of cultivation and growth. It will help us ensure that the demand is met in a consistent manner even in the future.
